The findings in this 2003 publication in “Nutrition Reviews” Vol. 61 No. 5 suggest that both high and low glycemic foods promote appetite and food intake suppression in healthy individuals. It would appear that low glycemic foods such as beans prolong satiety. Healthy body weight can be maintained with a diet consisting of both low and high glycemic foods.   The full article can be found here
